Privacy Policy

Forge Companion is a native iPhone companion for the local-first Forge system. It is designed to sync your own Apple and movement data into your own paired Forge instance so you can keep health and movement history under your control.

Data the app can access

With your permission, Forge Companion can access HealthKit data such as sleep and workouts, location and movement data used to infer stays and trips, and local app state needed to keep your paired Forge runtime in sync.

How data is used

The app uses this data only to power the Forge experience you explicitly set up. The companion syncs data to the Forge runtime that you pair with, such as your own local or Tailscale-reachable Forge instance.

Third parties

Forge Companion does not use third-party advertising SDKs and is not designed to sell your personal data. Data is intended to remain within your own Forge environment and Apple system services required for app functionality.

Control and deletion

You can revoke HealthKit, location, and background permissions in iOS Settings at any time. You can also disconnect the app from Forge by removing its pairing or deleting the app from your device.
